SALMON PARTY!
SALMON PARTY! New to cooking salmon and not really sure what kind of salmon you wanna try making? Why not try a bunch at once? In end at least a couple of these be good and you can dedicate a whole salmon meal around a specific recipe.
Here are the salmon recipes, starting from left to right, top to bottom and what you’ll do with them.
Italian Herb Salmon
Coat salmon filet in an Italian Herb blend (Parsley/Thyme/Oregano/Salt/Pepper basically)
BBQ Salmon
Sprinkle with Salt & Pepper
Slather salmon filet in your favorite BBQ sauce (it can be literally any BBQ sauce you want)
Lemon Pepper Salmon
Squeeze some lemon juice over the filet, coating it (Concentrated lemon juice in a bottle also works if you have no fresh lemons)
Sprinkle with Salt & Pepper
Use a microplane grater to “zest” a lemon. This gets the tasty yellow rind of a lemon finely grated and sprinkle that on the salmon *Optional, just adds good flavor but if you don’t have a microplane grater, don’t worry about
Place two slices of lemon on top of the fish and let it cook with the lemon slices on top
Asian Style Salmon
Now this will comes with a dipping sauce!
Salt and Pepper the salmon
Add a little ground ginger as well
THE SAUCE
2 Tbs Soy Sauce
1 tsp Sesame Oil
Dash of Garlic Powder
Dash of Ground Ginger
Pepper
Few dashes of Sesame Seeds
1~2 Drops Fish Sauce
Dash of Japanese 7-spice Blend (Sometimes called Shichimi Togarashi) *Optional
Dash of MSG (Also called “Accent” in the USA because we have an unjustified fear of MSG, even though it’s perfectly safe) *Opional
A squirt of bottled Wasabi *Optional and also add as much Wasabi as you want, dependent upon spice tolerance
Stir all that together with a fork until its all blended together. Taste the sauce. Add anything you think it needs more of. Then just simply dip or pour over the salmon once it’s done cooking.
Fish Seasoning Salmon
I used this spice blend but you can use any fish seasoning blend you want. Mine contains: Lemon peel, onion, fennel, black pepper, celery seeds, bay leaf, thyme, parsley, lemon juice powder, citric acid, lemon oil
Sweet-Chili Salmon
Slather using any bottle of pre-made bottle of Sweet-Chili sauce you can buy at the store
Cooking Time!
Cook all the salmon in the oven at 400F for 15 minutes. If the fish easily flakes off and is not pink in the middle, its cooked and ready to go.
My personal favorites from this line up are the BBQ Salmon (And I mean how much easier can it get to make, you literally just put BBQ sauce on it), Asian Style as I love the sauce and Sweet-Chili. Hopefully having a salmon party can help you try out a bunch of new salmon recipe ideas, and you can make a whole course dedicated to that flavor profile. For a side when doing Salmon Party, I just roasted up some broccoli in a pan with a side of rice. Any side dish will do really since you’re going to have a variety of flavor profiles here.
